Practice Facility Improvements

For those of you currently enjoying the golf course you will have noticed that the turf on the practice island is off color and brown. The original Tifway 419 turf has been eliminated and the area will be re-grassed with Celebration Bermuda grass during the course closure in July. This area was not renovated during the Vision 2020 project in 2015.

As part of the improvements, 6 additional Palm trees have been installed along the back lake bank to create a backdrop to the target greens. Over the coming weeks the bunkers located on the islands will be filled in with soil to allow for the placement of two additional target greens. The new targets will provide different yardages from the practice tee in an effort to improve the overall practice experience for all golfers. Additional drainage and catch basins will also be installed to help prevent washouts and shoreline erosion.
